This study analyzes sound changes in language errors in the film agak laen with qualitative descriptive methods and quantitative statistics. Data samples are taken in the form of 27 words that comprehensively represent language errors in the film agak laen. Data collection techniques are carried out with a refer and record technique. The results of this study showed three categories of sound changes, namely the addition of phonemes (59.26%), phoneme changes (37.04%), and phoneme removal (3.70%). In the category of adding phonemes, most cases (93.75%) experienced anaptiksis (paragogics), while the remaining (6.25%) experienced monphtongization and anaptiksis (paragogics). In the category of phoneme changes, the most dominant changes are regressive assimilation (30%) and monoftongization (30%), followed by monphtongization and anaptiksis (paragog) (20%), progressive assimilation (10%), and anaptiksis (protesting) and assimilation Progressive (10%). Meanwhile, all cases in the category of phoneme removal (100%) experience progressive assimilation. Explicitly, this language error is related to the phonological characteristics of the Medan Malay dialect which tends to add vocals at the end of the word. In addition to reflecting the characteristics of the local language, this pattern is also strengthened in the film to create authentic nuances and humor effects.
