Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify privacy concerns as a barrier to the adoption of mHealth services, both direct and mediated. Furthermore, the impact of reputation views on privacy concerns and mHealth service adoption intentions is investigated in this study. To achieve its research objectives, this study used an online survey method. People who had never used mHealth services served as the study's unit of analysis. Furthermore, approximately 200 people completed questionnaires for this study, with 194 providing data that could be analyzed. Covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) was used to evaluate research data and test hypotheses. According to the findings, mHealth reputation is critical in determining mHealth service adoption intentions and easing privacy concerns among non-users. Furthermore, privacy concerns have no significant negative impact on non-users' decision to adopt mHealth services. Finally, privacy concerns have a significant impact on the relationship between mHealth's reputation and the intention to use mHealth services. Several research implications and recommendations are discussed in this paper.
